JOB CLUB is…

A peer support group designed for individuals with developmental disabilities who are employed in the community and have been for at least 90 days. Job Club offers community connections, provides social opportunities, and continued skills building; in addition to providing opportunities to socialize with individuals they may have once interacted with, but now with community jobs they do not get to see as often.

What we do:

  • hold formal meetings to discuss specific topics and give opportunities to voice issues and concerns, as well as to gain support from peers and staff.

  • have social meetings to explore the community and outside communities while building skills for independence.

  • provide opportunities to attend outings and trips and gain access to additional life experiences.

Eligibility:

Eligibility for Job Club is dependent upon community employment status. Community employment is considered any employment that is with an employer that is in an integrated setting. An individual is able to join Job Club once they have been employed for 90 days. This is to ensure that the individual is stable in their employment prior to joining. Job Club members are to be at least 18 years of age and graduated from high school.

If you are interested in joining, please speak to your SSA.
